Welcome to March, beauties. I’m already feeling very inspired by the fresh new energy that this beautiful month brings. I love that we’re beginning to transition seasons and step into that fertile spring energy, which makes this fun in terms of switching up our skin care and makeup. It’s a great opportunity to reset, refresh & update our vanities to align with the new energy.
Here at Citrine we’re working on some exciting things behind the scenes as well as have a busy, busy month ahead full of some exciting events. We are in the process of moving our store’s location inside the Biltmore mall here in Phoenix and I’m getting really into the details in terms of design and planning out this really new beautiful space. I cannot wait to show you all! Mark your calendars for May as we will be hosting a grand opening event and would love to have you all.
In my personal life, I’m putting a large emphasis on my wellness, fitness and my family. This month feels like the perfect time to take my fitness goals to the next level as the weather warms up and the summer countdown is on. I’ll also be doing some spring cleaning as that always feels aligned this month.
This month I’m really focused on products that give me a total glow and that are both radiant and uplifting. From fun new makeup picks to some of my holy grail skin care items, you can’t go wrong with any of my most loved products this March. Let’s get right into it!
I’m always looking for ways to improve my skin and ways to target especially the neck area so I love to use this intensive lifting serum with my Theraface device on the microcurrent setting. You can read more about that process here on the blog, we did a whole deep dive on using these products in tandem to combat jowls and achieve a more contoured look. It really does give results and since I’ve been getting more serious about preventative aging, using this combination of microcurrent with this lactic acid superpowered serum consistently is just the way to go. What makes this product such a powerful ally in terms of targeting signs of aging is the high content of lactic acid. Lactic acid actually helps restore the skin’s hydration while protecting the barrier, reducing hyperpigmentation and resurfacing your complexion.
This is a brand new item from Suntegrity that I have been loving. I love myself a faux tan but I love it to look extremely natural so one of the reasons why I love Suntegrity so much. Their tanning products always come out looking like you have the most subtle & natural glow, no orange tones, no bad scent or fragrance, no color transfer. These facial drops are no exception. It goes onto the skin clear, so you never have to worry about having your sheets or clothing stained. What’s nice about the drops as you can either mix it in with either your facial skin care products or your body products and it’s buildable so you can customize how deep you want the glow to be. I mixed it with one of my favorite Fitglow body lotion, and I actually really liked the results I got with that. It’s just such an easy, effortless application process. I will use it at night and sleep with it and voilà, you wake up with a beautiful sun kissed glow.
This eye serum is always in my daily rotation but I tend to reach for it more in the spring as it feels so fresh and dewy. The subtle cucumber scent instantly elevates my mood and the lightweight gel texture feels cooling and gentle, perfect for the upcoming warm weather. It gives your delicate eye area a dewy, glowy sheen while alleviating any puffiness I have in the morning. I’m also a fan of this because it’s formulated with antioxidants that block blue light which preserves the skin. Because it’s so lightweight, it works perfectly under makeup but does give you that supple luminous glow which I love. It leaves my eyes feeling brighter, more hydrated & awake.
This best selling scent from Heretic is the most fresh & flirty out of their collection. It really embodies the energy of a divine feminine, fertile energy, perfect for the upcoming spring season. This is not your grandmother’s stiff floral perfume. It’s on the lighter side and feels very youthful, as if you’ve just stepped out of the most elegant garden. Very soft, playful and sweet but still sensual and seductive. It contains jasmine, which is one of my all time favorite fragrances, but it’s still very fresh, light and almost crisp. There’s also ylang ylang, which is known to naturally lift your mood, relieve anxiety and elevate your energy. I highly recommend this for the spring months.
I’m always such a fan of the Jane Iredale shadows and this new palette is right up my alley. I always tend towards warm bronze, pink and copper tones because they suit my complexion. This Wildflower triple has three gorgeous rose-toned colors that are all perfect as we move into spring. I love how the three shades emulate sunset tones and go from a light pink-ish shade to a medium bronze (my favorite) and a darker color that you can use as your one-and-done mini trio to get warm, depth and create a whole look that will complement any eye color.
